In the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the minister of Union human resource development, has issued a document about several e-learning initiatives conducted by central and state governments.
The paper introduces creative approaches incorporated by states and union territories to ensure children gain access to education.
The report titled ‘India Report Digital Education’ has been compiled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development ‘s school education department, detailing numerous interactive educational initiatives via the use of digital media throughout the nation.
Union HRD Minister announcing the release of this e-learning initiatives report, tweeted yesterday on Twitter: “Glad to launch India Report on #DigitalEducation, 2020 today. The report elaborates on the innovative methods adopted by Education Departments of States and Union Territories for ensuring accessible and inclusive #education to children at home and reducing learning gaps.”
The report underlines how states have introduced projects utilizing DIKSHA platform’s capabilities and solutions. According to the report, “Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Punjab, Ladakh, Telangana and Tripura have all inaugurated work on DIKSHA.
School closure has energised these States to leverage DIKSHA for online training of teachers & for launching programs to ensure continuity in the learning of students.”
