There is no age for learning, and proving this right is Jharkhand’s Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto, who on Monday enrolled in a government-affiliated inter-college under his constituency in Dumri for Class 11.
The 53-year-old education minister at the Devi Mahto Smarak Inter College Navadih in the Bokaro district has opted for the Arts stream, reports ANI.
Mahto said he had to face several challenges when he was appointed in as the state’s education minister due to his academic career that only lasted till Class 10.
The constant bashing motivated Mahato to restart his education journey, which would seem to be a blow to all those who had previously doubted what a 10th-pass minister would simply do for a government.
“I will complete my education, attend classes while I do agricultural work and serve the people. There is no age for education and learning. I will inspire people to do everything,” Mahto told reporters.
The minister completed his 10th in 1995 and declared the establishment of 4416 schools in Jharkhand on the event of his admission.
