OneDU Online Learning Platform Launched By Delhi University Amidst COVID-19

The Delhi University Computer Center (DUCC) has introduced an integrated OneDU online education platform to facilitate distance learning in university-affiliated departments, centres, colleges, and other institutions.

OneDU will “augment and streamline online education” by promoting e-resource services for Delhi University departments and colleges per an official release.

“Online teaching and learning have become an integral part of education worldwide owing to the unprecedented pandemic situation. The University of Delhi also adopted online teaching and learning in the last semester…,” an official statement said.

DU has also established an advisory committee of 14 representatives to devise guidelines for online courses.

The OneDU apex panel will also provide technical assistance to colleges and departments as per official documents, and recommend “implementable best practices” for online learning.

According to the university, the OneDu initiative was introduced to consolidate online education on one framework and to improve stakeholder ability to enable effective use of online education software.

While, as of August 10, the university is scheduled to hold open book examinations for final semester graduates.

On August 5, Delhi High Court directed the university to prepare scribes for Visually Impaired candidates who would take the open book exam for the last year.

The 2020-21 application process in DU is going on. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will administer the Delhi University Entrance Examination, or DUET 2020, starting September 6 through September 11.
