For school children, the Ministry of Education India announced the ‘Online Essay Writing Competition’ along with NCERT and MY Gov. “Aatmanirbhar Bharat-Swatantra Bharat” is the focus of the essay competition. The submissions are valid until August 14, 2020, and the competition is open to students from class 9 to 12.
The essay contest is a part of the nation’s independence day celebrations. The essay ‘s essence envisages the development of a powerful and resilient country that strives for the wellbeing of all. India’s Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has advocated for a powerful, lively and self-reliant India for all, and an India of all.
Minister Of Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal, shared the news through twitter. The tweet read, “Students from classes IX to XII, it is time to wear your creative hats! @mygovindia and @ncert bring you an Online Essay Writing Competition themed ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat-Swatantra Bharat.’ Participate now! Entries valid till 14th Aug.”
The choice of the best essay would be taken on two levels. Firstly, NCERTs may create a panel to review the submissions at the state / UT level experts who will be in charge of choosing the best Ten submissions. The assessment criteria would include 20 per cent weight-age to the core concept, 20 per cent to conceptual coherence and structure, 40 per cent to creativity and 20 per cent to linguistic expression and design consistency. Students who wish to participate in the online essay writing competition should search the specifics on the MyGov website.
