The Rajasthan Pre Teacher Education Test (PTET)-scheduled for August 16-is postponed until further notification. The examination ‘s latest dates are not yet available, and will shortly be confirmed. The test was initially expected to take place in May. The pause is triggered because of the pandemic.
All those who pass PTET will apply to pursue BA-BEd, BSc-BEd programs. Seats are distributed merit-based. The details of the counselling will be issued after the result announcement. About four lakh applicants have applied for the PET 2020 exam at Rajasthan. In which 3.27 lakh have enrolled BEd course for two years, while the remaining 1.53 lakh is for the B.A B.Ed / B.Sc B.Ed four-year course.
The examination administering institute, Government Dungar College, Bikaner, has confirmed in an official note that the questions in the final examination will be modelled from the test series.
PTET will comprise of four parts – mental ability, teaching attitude and aptitude test, general awareness, and language proficiency (Hindi or English). Each of the segments would have 50 questions. There’ll be three points for the right answer. The examination will last for three hours. The questions will be multiple choice or objective type. The test will be taken offline and applicants will have to encircle the correct answer.
